Volunteer Opportunities


For Adults who want to make a difference by spending time one-on-one, behind the scenes or in a group sponsored activity in a safe, structured environment for youth in our residential treatment program and shelter care.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • One-on-one time with a young person
  • Spend quality time with the residents in a group activity
  • A group/organization sponsored event or holiday themed party with activity
  • Gardening, cooking/craft projects, class instruction, sport clinics, group talks, building and/or grounds improvement (art work, playground)

Requirements to Volunteer:

  • You must be over age 21
  • Identify on the Volunteer Application in what capacity you would like to volunteer and provide details as appropriate

How to Volunteer:

  • Call 248-858-1150 to request a "Volunteer Application"
  • Once invited to volunteer complete all orientation, reference and clearance requirements with Children's Village (if required for your time commitment and activity).
