Children's Village has a staff of counselors, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists, who provide services that attend to the emotional needs of the young people placed in our care. Emotional health services range from supportive counseling to crisis intervention/prevention counseling to group and/or individual therapy, family therapy, sexual offender and victims' treatment, and psychiatric services.

Within the short-term services of the Intake Treatment Services Program, the primary focus is on identifying and managing those residents with the most immediate emotional health needs (including referrals for medications). Crisis intervention, short-term counseling and/or therapy are available to assist with current interpersonal conflicts and adjustment to the structured setting.

Within the rehabilitative services of the Residential Treatment Program, standard services include individual counseling and group therapy with individualized service plans, including aftercare. Specialized services include individual psychotherapy, psychiatric care, family therapy and employment training.

A comprehensive substance abuse treatment program is provided to all youths in the Residential Treatment Program.

Children's Village also offers a parent education program which is open to all parents of residents. Weekly sessions cover a variety of topics about raising children in today's society.
