Children's Village presents a unique and comprehensive approach to residential care and treatment. The Village is staffed with professional child care workers, counselors, social workers, psychologists, registered nurses, psychiatrists, consulting physicians and pediatricians, all of whom assist youngsters in accomplishing treatment objectives. Counseling, psychological, psychiatric and physical health services are delivered in-house and are based upon individual and family needs. Residents are also provided an educational program tailored to meet their needs, and receive grades and credits which are transferable to their community schools.
Youths receive short-term services under the Intake Treatment Services Program in either the Shelter Care Cottage (for children who have been placed at the facility for reasons of neglect or abuse); or in the Secure Detention Unit (for youths who have been identified as posing a risk to the community or themselves).
Youths determined by the Court as being in need of out-of-home care receive correctional and rehabilitative services through the Residential Treatment Program.
