Oakland County supports the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s fair housing and equal opportunity mission by conducting an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) with timely updates and ongoing actions to overcome identified impediments. The AI serves as the basis for fair housing planning and provides essential information to housing consumers and providers, county and community policy makers, administrative staff, lenders and fair housing advocates and helps build local support for fair housing efforts. The current report (10/1/06 - 09/30/07) contains statistical and demographic information on families and individuals seeking homeless services in Oakland County during that time period using records from the Homeless Management Information System.
