Retain, Train, Retrain and Recruit Workers for High Demand Jobs
To ensure that Oakland County has an available and qualified labor force for the county's current and future high-demand jobs, workers should be retained, trained, retrained and recruited.
Accomplishments for 2007
Retrained approximately 1,500 workers in numerous occupations through the Oakland County Michigan Works! Service Centers.
Supported Oakland Community College's short term training programs aimed at dislocated workers and other job seekers.
Supported training of nearly 3,000 students at Oakland Schools' technical campuses.
