2007 Recommendations
In regard to the SBT replacement, the committee recommended to the County Executive:

Do not support sales tax on services.

Do not support an overall tax increase.

Do not support any taxation of an asset base.

Signficant State level reform is needed on both the revenue and expense sides.

Support committee members' visits with state legislators to advance these recommendations.
The committee also recommended the County support the UM/ULI Real Estate Forum hosted by the City of Troy, and provide a staff liaison to the Southfield Guarantee Initiative.
