Oakland County Department of Human Services Agency Board
The Oakland Department of Human Services Agency Board consists of three members, two appointed by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and one appointed by the Governor.
Each member serves a 3-year term. The Board has oversight responsibilities for the Oakland County Department of Human Services, and assists in developing goals and objectives to provide effective social service programs to meet the needs of the community.
Each representative from Oakland County is to act as an agent for the Oakland County Board of Commissioners in the development of coordinated or consolidated approaches to the delivery of social services and cooperative service delivery arrangements between the family independence agency and each public and private social service agency within the county.
These agents must keep the needs of Oakland County as their top priority.
The Board meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m., at the Oakland Town Center, located at 28 North Saginaw Street, Suite 1200 in Pontiac.
The Chairperson of the Board receives $2,000 annually and the other two members each receive $1,500. All members are entitled to mileage reimbursement to meetings outside of Oakland County.
