Many Bid for Information at Seminar
More than 200 business owners attended the "Bid and Breakfast" Seminar in October, sponsored by Oakland County's Planning and Economic Development Services Division, the City of Southfield and the South Oakland Chapter of the NAACP. Participants represented small-to-medium-sized, minority and women-owned businesses. They learned valuable information about government vendor opportunities.
On hand were representatives from Oakland Schools and the cities of Huntington Woods, Rochester Hills, Southfield and Troy, who answered questions and provided information about the vendor process in their respective communities.

Participants listen intently as officials explain vendor opportunities and the process to do business with the various forms of governments on the city, county and state level.
