Airspace Test Notification -- FAA - Letter to Airmen No. 02-1
Effective December 15, 2002, the Pontiac Tower and Detroit Approach Control will begin a test procedure allowing aircraft being worked by Detroit Approach Control to transgress Pontiac Class D airspace at 3000' or above. These aircraft will not be in radio communication with the Pontiac Tower but will be visible to the Pontiac Tower controller's radar display. Pontiac Tower will be responsible for issuing traffic information as necessary to aircraft in contact with Pontiac Tower. Pontiac Tower may terminate the procedure as traffic conditions warrant.
