Pontiac, Michigan (April 9, 2004) -- The Office of Arts, Culture & Film presents a lecture by Senior Appraiser and Auctioneer David McCarron. For the past eight years, Mr. McCarron has participated as an appraiser for the popular PBS "Antiques Roadshow," and has been featured in 31 episodes. The presentation will take place on Thursday, April 15, 2004, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall, Building 49 West on the County campus at 1200 North Telegraph Road.
Originally from Boston, David McCarron is a generalist with an academic background in biology. His resume of more than 20 year's experience includes employment at Eldred's, Sotheby's and other auction houses in the eastern and Midwestern United States. Mr. McCarron is a Senior Appraiser and Auctioneer with the Frank H. Boos Gallery, Auctioneers and Appraisers of Bloomfield Hills, MI.
The Brown Bag Lecture is open to the public and is free of charge. This is a lecture, and not an appraisal opportunity. Mr. McCarron will not be giving appraisals of objects.
