Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future

Eero Saarinen was a 20th century Finnish-American architect and product designer, famous for his simple, sweeping, arching structural curves. World-renown for his creation of The Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Saarinen is less recognized locally for his connections and contributions to Oakland County. Mark Coir, Director of Cranbrook Archives Department and recent recipient of the 2006 Michigan Heritage Guardian Award, will discuss his contributions to the new book, Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future
