Bag Lecture Presentation by Ivory D. Williams

Pontiac, Michigan (December 29, 2005) The Office of Arts, Culture & Film presents a lecture by Ivory D. Williams on Thursday, January 20, 2005, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall.


Mr. Williams is a past Vice President of the Detroit Association of Black Storytellers. After a long and highly successful career as a sales manager with AT&T, he resigned to accept the position of President of Efficacy Detroit; an organization dedicated to the intellectual development of children, particularly children of color. Mr. Williams is keenly aware of the importance of education, personal development, knowledge of self and of the world, and the effect they have on the quality of ones life.


Mr. Williams interweaves his stories with humor, wit, and fun to engage audiences and spread positive messages. Promoting and perpetuating the ancient art of African and African American storytelling in the oral tradition. He has led seminars and workshops on many topics including "How to Tell a Story", "The Business Side of Storytelling" and "Storytelling in the Classroom". He captivates and motivates audiences with his messages.


The presentation will take place on Thursday, January 20, 2005, from Noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall, Building 49 West on the County campus at 1200 N. Telegraph Road, in Pontiac.
