Pontiac, Michigan (March 23, 2006) Oakland County Arts & Culture presents Inscriptions - Artworks by Andrea Eis on Exhibit in the Oakland County Galleria. The Exhibition will be on display from March 27 May 5, 2006. The Artists Reception will be held Tuesday March 28 from 4:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m.
The exhibit features photographs and fabric pieces that were designed especially for the Galleria. Andrea Eis, Associate Professor of Art and Art History at Oakland University, received her M.F.A. in Photography at Cranbrook Academy of Art, her B.F.A. in Film, Photography and Video at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and her B.A. in Classics and Archaeology at Beloit College. She has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums including Meadow Brook Art Gallery, Au Courant, Cranbrook Art Museum, Revolution and the Rochester Institute of Technology. As a professor, Eis currently teaches Senior Thesis in Studio Art, Courses in Film Aesthetics and History, Photography, Video Art and Native American Art at Oakland University in Rochester Michigan. Eis is a resident of Royal Oak.
