Indian Country: 15,000 Years of American Indian History in Michigan

Anthropolgy is the study of human culture through time and space. Anthropologists strive to understand culture by studying their language, objects, ways of life and physical traits. The Cranbrook Institute of Science’s anthropology collection is remarkable – it is estimates to contain around 17,000 specimens. Mr. Wood’s presentation will highlight objects created by the American Indians of the Great Lakes region
