Does Poetry Really Matter: The Growing Literary Scene in the Detroit Area
Pontiac, Michigan (October 7, 2003) -- The Office of Arts, Culture & Film presents a lecture by M. L. Liebler, Does Poetry Really Matter: The Growing Literary Scene in the Detroit Area, on Thursday, October 16, 2003, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall. Liebler will address the importance of poetry and its significance in the Metro-Detroit Area.
M. L. Liebler is a native of the Detroit area whose poetry has reached all ends of North America. He received both his bachelor and master degrees at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and teaches at Wayne State University in the Department of English. On top of his busy working and traveling schedules, Liebler has devoted much of his time to writing books and publishing records for children.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2003 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall, Building 49 West on the County campus at 1200 N. Telegraph Road, in Pontiac.
