Victor Pytko

A Collection of Paintings by Victor Pytko

Waterford, Michigan September 18, 2008 Artworks by Victor Pytko will be on display in the Oakland County Executive Building from September 18, 2008 through November 7, 2008.  A reception to meet the artist will be held on Thursday, October 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The exhibition, A Collection of Paintings by Victor Pytko, features multimedia paintings of local sites with elements ranging from impressionism to expressionism. I selected the pieces in this show because in each I wanted to reveal something about the world as I saw it, related to it, or wished it to be.  Making the expression was the goal. Literature by Victor Pytko will also be included alongside the artwork. See www.oakgov.com/arts/ for details.  For information, call (248) 858-4081.

Victor Pytko has studied at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, Toledo Art Institute, Monroe Community College, Ann Arbor Art Association, Canton Art Institute, and Indiana University.  He has recently received awards at the Birmingham Festival of the Arts and an artist residency with the Glen Arbor Art Association. He is also accredited with creating private art collections and exhibiting artwork across the state. He has exhibited in numerous galleries including MOCAD, CAID, CPOP Gallery, Octane Studios, BooMa Gallery, Sense Design, Studio 601, Ellen Kayrod Gallery, Liberal Arts Gallery, Biegas Gallery.
