About the Office of Arts, Culture & Film


The Office of Arts, Culture & Film serves to enhance, strengthen, and promote the arts and cultural life in Oakland County through advocacy, promotion, funding, and programming initiatives.

 

 

 

Oakland County Executive Office Gallery

  • To encourage community building
  • To preserve and celebrate the unique and intrinsic qualities of communities located within Oakland County
  • To foster cross-cultural understanding
  • To provide life-long learning opportunities
  • To provide opportunities and support to Oakland artists and arts organizations
  • To support economic development and tourism

Initiatives
Advocacy & Promotion  

  • Provide and maintain a website citing local, regional, and national arts resources
  • Assemble & distribute a Cultural Calendar of Events

Funding for Arts, Culture & Film Projects
  • Administer of Michigan Council of Arts and Cultural Affairs Regional Regranting Program
  • Administer the DCX Oakland Art Fund
  • Present and host grant workshops

Arts, Culture & Film Programming
  • Present visual arts exhibitions in the County's Galleria
  • Present monthly lectures on the Arts and Humanities
  • Manage the County's art collection

Identify Cultural and Recreational Assets in Oakland County
  • Artist Registry
  • Organization & Business Registry
