Patterson to Announce Winners in 5th Annual Count Your Steps Program

Pontiac, MI, May 22, 2008 Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will reveal the top three school districts and schools in his 2008 Count Your Steps pedometer walking program on Tuesday, May 27th at 1:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of Shrine Catholic Grade School, 1621 Linwood Avenue in Royal Oak.

Headlining the grand finale are performers for Radio Disney (AM 910) who will lead students in singing, games and contests.

Patterson will also present plaques to Count Your Steps sponsors in appreciation of their financial assistance to the program. 2008 sponsors are:

• Platinum: POH Medical Center
• Gold: General Motors; Health Plus of Michigan and Radio Disney
• Supporting: HAP; Oakland County Parks and Oakland County Health Division
