Patterson Offers Reward in School Bus Vandalism Incidents

Pontiac, MI, January 11, 2007 – Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson today offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for vandalizing school busses in West Bloomfield, Waterford and Farmington.

“The superintendents in Oakland County came to me for support and I was more than happy to oblige them because school vandalism in this county has become a growing and serious problem that needs immediate attention,” Patterson said.

Patterson said that any information about the school bus vandalism should be reported it to the school counselor, police liaison officer at the school or local police department.  The tipsters name and identity will be kept confidential.

Joining Patterson at the news conference were superintendents or representatives from the Avondale, Oak Park, Berkley, Troy, West Bloomfield, Farmington, Walled Lake, Huron Valley, Ferndale and Clawson school districts.
