Oakland County, Michigan -- Oakland County Health Division (OCHD) will offer another mass H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for Oakland County residents who meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention target population on Thursday, October 29, 2009, from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm. In partnership with Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, the Health Division will distribute the 2009 H1N1 vaccine this Thursday at the following location:

The initial supply of H1N1 vaccine is limited. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has identified a target population to receive this limited supply because they have a higher risk for complications.

• Caregivers for children under 6 months of age
• Adults 25 through 64 years of age with underlying medical conditions
• Healthcare and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers

"We are please to be able to implement the next step in our comprehensive 2009 H1N1 flu distribution plan, focusing on the target population for Oakland County," states Kathy Forzley, Manager/Health Officer, Oakland County Health Division.
