Pontiac, Michigan - Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is holding a news conference on Tuesday, October 6th at 10 a.m. to discuss county plans for dispensing the H1N1 flu vaccine to Oakland County residents. The news conference will be held on the second floor of the North Office Health Center, Building 34 E, in the Oakland County complex at 1200 N. Telegraph Road in Pontiac. The Health Center was formerly known as the Executive Office Building.
Patterson will be joined at the news conference by George J. Miller, county director of health and human services; Kathleen Forzley, the county’s health officer; and Dr. Julie Vaishampayan, chief of medical services for Oakland County.
Patterson will detail locations within the county where the flu vaccine will be available, who is eligible to receive the vaccine according to federal guidelines and when it is expected to be available in Oakland County.
