Pontiac, Michigan – Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will honor two individuals and a local automotive dealership for their numerous contributions to the community at the 17th Annual Quality People, Quality County (Q2) breakfast to be held on September 24th at the Centerpoint Marriot in Pontiac.
Receiving the accolades this year are Roy Rewold, a Rochester-based building contractor, Pastor Kent Clark of Grace Centers of Hope and the LaFontaine Automotive Group.
“All three of these honorees have demonstrated their strong commitment to the community through their actions,” Patterson said. “Each one has made this world a better place in which to live by enhancing the quality of life for others.”
Past recipients of the Q2 Award since 1993 when Patterson first started the program include: Hall of Fame baseball broadcaster Ernie Harwell, legendary Free Press sports writer Joe Falls, radio personality Dick Purtan, Flagstar Bank, T&C Federal Credit Union and Beaumont Hospitals, to name just a few.
