Patterson 2009 State of the County Address to be Rebroadcast on WWJ-TV

Pontiac, Michigan, March 3, 2009 -- Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson February 3rd State of the County address will be rebroadcast this Sunday, March 8th at 8:30 a.m. on Detroit's WWJ-TV.

The edited down version of his annual speech, which runs half an hour, was originally delivered before a standing room only crowd of more than 400 invited guests at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy.

In the half hour version of his speech, Patterson will cover such topics as Emerging Sectors, Automation Alley and his new Medical Main Street initiative.  He will also highlight several new programs including an Oakland County Film Festival, Oakland Edge Hockey Tournament and the new triennial budget process which will soon be implemented.

Civic Center TV 15 in West Bloomfield videotaped the event which has been rebroadcast in its entirety on Oakland County cable outlets.  The cable station also edited down the speech from its original 59 minutes in length to 30 minutes, so it could be aired in the allotted time slot on WWJ-TV in Detroit.
