Brown Bag Lecture Presentation by Brian Murphy, Neglected Masterpieces: Silent Films

Pontiac, Michigan, (April 28, 2003) -- The Office of Arts, Culture & Film presents a lecture by Professor Brian Murphy entitled Neglected Masterpieces: Silent Films on Thursday, May 15, 2003, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall.

Brian Murphy has been a member of Oakland University's English Department since 1969, having served as Director of the Honors College and currently assuming the position of Associate Director in charge of fundraising. He has educated at Harvard University and the University of London. He currently teaches courses in World Literature, Shakespeare and Film. Professor Murphy's lecture regarding Silent Films should prove to be interesting, thought provoking and will open new ideas to those who attend.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2003 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Lecture Hall, Building 49 West on the County campus at 1200 North Telegraph Road, in Pontiac.
