Patterson's State of the County Speech to be Webcast

Pontiac, MI February 11, 2003 -- Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson's annual State of the County Address tomorrow night (February 12) will again be broadcast live on the world-wide web. Farmington Hills based Grace & Wild, Inc. will provide the webcast to a limited number of viewers on a first-come first-serve basis.

The video webcast of Patterson's State of the County Address will be archived for a period of 30 days. Last year, the archive received more than 4,000 hits from people logging on to view the speech.

"The webcast provides a wonderful opportunity for people not able to attend the speech in person to find out what's going on in Oakland County government," Patterson said.

Those interested in receiving the webcast should go to the Oakland County homepage (http://www.oakgov.com) and click on the webcast banner. A Real One Player is needed to view the presentation, but if one is not available, a free player can be downloaded by going to the Real Player home page and clicking onto the link which is located in the lower right hand corner of the page.

Patterson's annual State of the County Address is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Michigan State University Management Education Center, 811 West Square Lake Road in Troy.
